Issue employee credit cards at no additional charge. Set individual credit limits for each employee card, restrict spending by merchant category, and monitor every transaction in real time from your account dashboard.
Download detailed transaction reports by employee, category, date range, or merchant. Year-end expense summaries make tax prep and budget analysis significantly faster. Export to CSV, Excel, or PDF.
Connect your business credit card directly to QuickBooks Online or Desktop. Card transactions sync automatically — eliminating manual data entry, reducing errors, and keeping your books current in real time without any extra work.
Preferred Rewards for Business members earn a 25%–75% bonus on cash back and points. A Gold member earning 3% cash back effectively earns 3.75%. Platinum Honors members turning 3% into 5.25% — simply by maintaining a business banking relationship.

Expense Management
Tools That Make Expense Management Painless
Business credit cards should do more than swipe and charge. Our expense management tools turn your card data into actionable business intelligence.
Generate unique virtual card numbers for online subscriptions and vendors — without exposing your actual card number. If a vendor is compromised, you can cancel that virtual number without affecting your physical card.
Photograph and attach receipts to transactions from the mobile app. Receipts are stored digitally alongside the transaction record — making expense reports and audit-ready records as simple as snapping a photo at the restaurant.
Direct integration with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Wave, and FreshBooks. Card transactions auto-categorize and sync to your accounting platform — eliminating manual entry and ensuring your books are always current.
FAQ
Business Credit Card FAQs
-
What's the difference between a business card and a personal card?Business credit cards are designed for business expenses — with higher credit limits, business-relevant rewards categories (office supplies, telecom, travel), expense management tools, employee card controls, and integration with accounting software. They report differently to credit bureaus (activity may or may not appear on your personal credit report depending on the card). Most importantly, mixing business and personal expenses on one card creates accounting complexity and potential issues with tax deductibility — always use a dedicated business card for business expenses.
-
Can I apply with an EIN instead of my SSN?Yes — you can apply for a business credit card using your business EIN. However, most issuers (including Federal Crown Bank) also require the owner's Social Security number as part of the application, primarily to verify personal creditworthiness and because most small business credit cards require a personal guarantee. Your personal credit is pulled during the application process. Sole proprietors without a separate EIN can use their SSN as both the personal and business identifier.
-
How do I set employee spending limits?Once you have employee cards issued, you can set and adjust individual spending limits through Online Banking or the mobile app. Options include: a monthly dollar limit per card, restrictions by merchant category (e.g., no cash advances, no entertainment), and individual card-level notifications for every transaction. You can also temporarily freeze or permanently cancel an individual employee card without affecting the account or other employee cards.
-
Do I receive year-end spending reports?Yes — Federal Crown Bank provides annual account summaries showing total spending by category for the full calendar year — available in Online Banking in January for the prior year. This summary is extremely useful for tax preparation, identifying your largest business expense categories, and making budget decisions for the coming year. You can also pull custom date-range reports and filter by employee, merchant, or category at any time throughout the year.
-
Does using a business credit card help build my business credit score? It depends on the card and how the issuer reports. Federal Crown Bank business credit cards primarily report to commercial credit bureaus (Dun & Bradstreet, Experian Business, Equifax Business) rather than personal credit bureaus — which means responsible use helps build your business's credit profile separately from your personal score. A strong business credit score improves your ability to qualify for business loans, higher credit limits, and better vendor terms over time. Pay on time and keep utilization low on your business card to build the strongest business credit profile.
