Next-Day Funding
How Next-Day Funding Works
One of the biggest advantages of processing with your bank: your money moves faster. Here's exactly how our next-day funding process works.
Process card transactions throughout the business day — in-store, online, or mobile. All transactions are batched automatically at your daily cutoff time.
Your terminal automatically submits the day's batch to our payment network at your cutoff time (typically 10 PM local time). This initiates the settlement process.
Settlement information is processed overnight. Since your merchant account and bank account are both at Federal Crown Bank, the transfer occurs internally — eliminating the standard 1-2 extra days with external processors.
Net sales proceeds (minus processing fees) are typically deposited to your Federal Crown Bank business checking account by 8 AM the next business day — ready for payroll, vendor payments, or any business need.
Transactions submitted before 10 PM local time are deposited by the following business day morning. Weekday cutoffs apply — weekend transactions are typically funded the next business day (Monday for Saturday/Sunday batches).
Businesses with a Federal Crown Bank business checking account may qualify for same-day funding on eligible transactions — funds deposited within hours of batch submission. Subject to approval and additional fee. Ask your merchant specialist about eligibility.

Is there a long-term contract required?Contract terms depend on the specific merchant agreement and hardware selected. Many of our merchant services offerings are available on month-to-month terms — particularly for businesses that purchase (rather than lease) their hardware. Hardware lease agreements typically carry a 12–48 month term. If you are comparing merchant services providers, always ask specifically about contract length, early termination fees (ETFs), and automatic renewal clauses before signing. Our specialists will clearly explain all contract terms during the enrollment process.

How do chargebacks work and how are they handled?A chargeback occurs when a cardholder disputes a transaction with their card-issuing bank. The issuing bank debits the transaction amount from your merchant account while the dispute is reviewed. You have a defined window (typically 7–10 business days) to respond with evidence — receipts, delivery confirmation, terms of service, communication records, etc. Our dedicated chargeback specialists manage the entire response process on your behalf, compiling and submitting your evidence package. If the chargeback is reversed in your favor, the funds are returned and the $15 fee is waived. Chargeback rates above 1% of transactions can lead to enhanced monitoring — we proactively alert you if your ratio is trending upward.

Can I accept payments across multiple business locations under one account?Yes — Federal Crown Bank Merchant Services supports multi-location businesses under a single merchant account, with each location configured as a separate terminal or sub-merchant location. You can view consolidated reporting across all locations in the Merchant Services portal, as well as drill down to individual location performance. Volume across all locations may also be combined for volume pricing eligibility. Franchise businesses and businesses with 10+ locations should contact our enterprise merchant services team for a customized multi-location solution.

Do you accept international credit cards?Yes — we accept all major international credit and debit cards issued under the Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover/Diners Club networks, including cards issued outside the United States. For in-person transactions, the card-present rate (2.69%) applies. For online/CNP transactions from international cardholders, standard online rates apply. Note that some international transactions may incur network-level international fees that are passed through — this is standard across all processors and is not a Federal Crown Bank fee. For businesses with significant international volume, ask about currency conversion options.

What does PCI compliance mean and do I need to worry about it?PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance is a set of security requirements mandated by the card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) for all businesses that accept card payments. Every merchant must be PCI compliant — regardless of size. The compliance level (SAQ type) depends on how you accept cards and your transaction volume. Federal Crown Bank Merchant Services provides PCI compliance assistance tools, annual SAQ questionnaire support, vulnerability scanning (where required), and breach coverage — significantly simplifying the compliance process. A PCI compliance fee ($9.95/month) covers these services. Non-compliance can result in card network fines of $5,000–$100,000 per month.
